Commercial Lead – 6‑month Contract

About the role

The Commercial Lead will ensure robust commercial management across business boundaries, handling dependencies across contracts and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. The role involves strategic priority management, reporting, and effective contact management to meet core activities and contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide commercial guidance and leadership to project teams while working autonomously.
• Coordinate with other projects to manage cross‑project dependencies and avoid operational, financial, or reputational impacts.
• Manage customer relationships in line with relational contracting.
• Act as commercial approver for TAFs, ensuring clearly bound requirements, AEDs, and favourable terms.
• Oversee commercial aspects of contract change and business winning, including ownership of the RBA process and commercial management plans.

Required profile

• Strong commercial and business acumen.
• Ability to operate with minimal guidance, direction, and supervision.
• Experience in operational commercial roles, particularly contract management of large, complex inter‑dependent programmes.
• Degree in law, business, or a related field, with at least 5 years of recent experience in a front‑facing commercial operational role.
