Commercial Loss Adjuster – Remote (South West England)

About the role

We are looking for a Commercial Loss Adjuster to manage a portfolio of commercial claims across the South West England region. Working from a home base, you will book appointments, visit loss sites, and guide each claim through to settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Assess commercial loss sites, gather evidence and evaluate loss magnitude.
• Allocate and manage an average caseload of 50‑60 active claims, handling around 160 losses per year.
• Determine settlements ranging from £10,000 to £100,000, using supply‑chain agreements or cash settlements.
• Utilise the Symbility platform to schedule and document building losses.
• Provide precautionary and post‑loss advice to minimise future claims.
• Escalate complex or non‑standard claims to senior colleagues.
• Contribute to policy wording reviews and support technical colleagues with expert guidance.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling commercial loss adjustments on a self‑sufficient basis.
• Ability to manage a high volume of claims while maintaining accuracy and customer service standards.
• Progression towards professional qualifications such as CII or CILA is advantageous.
