Commercial Management Accountant

About the role

This position sits within a growing finance team in South Manchester and works closely with the Finance Director. You will combine financial analysis with commercial decision‑making to influence business performance and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with detailed analysis and commentary.
• Partner with stakeholders across departments to deliver financial insight and commercial support.
• Analyse profitability of business areas and identify performance‑improvement opportunities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Develop financial models to aid strategic and commercial decisions.
• Monitor operational KPIs, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities.
• Assist with month‑end processes, including accruals, pre‑payments and other adjustments.
• Produce cost analyses and track changes affecting profitability.
• Maintain balance‑sheet reconciliations and ensure data accuracy.
• Utilise ERP systems and Excel for data analysis and reporting.
