Commercial Manager – Rail & Aviation (Oxford)

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Manager to join the Rail & Aviation team at Oxford Station. Reporting to the Head of Commercial, you will own the commercial delivery of the project, working in a collaborative environment that supports your professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Take commercial responsibility from pre‑contract through to final account, including budget preparation, cash‑flow forecasting and financial performance reporting.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts and CVR reconciliations, and negotiate final accounts with clients.
• Lead procurement strategy, appoint subcontractors using internal frameworks, negotiate terms and monitor supply‑chain commercial performance.
• Contribute to bid reviews, develop commercial strategy and support wider business improvement initiatives.
• Act as the primary commercial interface with clients, consultants and supply‑chain partners, providing guidance to senior management and project teams.

Required profile

• Academic or professional qualifications relevant to commercial management (e.g., MRICS, MCICES, MCIOB) or working towards them.
• Proven senior‑level commercial experience, particularly on target contracts.
• Ability to lead, inspire and communicate effectively across diverse teams and projects.
• Full driving licence.
