Commercial Property Associate Solicitor

About the role

Join a dedicated Commercial Property team in Guildford, providing expert advice on commercial and residential investment matters. The role involves delivering clear, client‑focused legal solutions while supporting the firm’s fee‑earning objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on commercial property and residential investment transactions.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with AML and KYC regulations.
• Collaborate with clients, lenders and other stakeholders to structure and close deals.
• Identify and resolve legal obstacles that may affect transactions.
• Supervise junior staff and contribute to risk‑management strategies.
• Maintain accurate file management, time recording and financial control.
• Participate in firm‑wide activities such as marketing and business development.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor (LPC & PSC, SQE route, or CILEX Fellow) admitted by the SRA.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent organisational abilities.
• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Attention to detail and adherence to regulatory procedures.

Required skills

• Experience with Practice Evolve or similar practice management systems.
• Familiarity with Practical Law and LexisNexis resources.
• Knowledge of AML and KYC compliance processes.
