Commercial Property Lawyer (2+ PQE)

About the role

Our client is looking for a Commercial Property Lawyer with at least 2 years post‑qualification experience to join a busy property team in Chepstow. You will work autonomously, managing transactions from instruction through to completion while liaising directly with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial property sales, purchases and lease transactions from start to finish.
• Conduct searches, enquiries and due diligence, preparing client reports and care letters.
• Oversee exchange and completion to ensure smooth settlement.
• Negotiate lease terms, handle renewals and ongoing lease management.
• Support and train junior staff and work closely with a dedicated property assistant.
• Contribute to the firm’s marketing programme and client development initiatives.

Required profile

• 2+ years PQE in commercial property work as a Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer.
• Proven experience in sales, purchases, leases, searches, reports and exchange/completion.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise at all client levels.
• Highly organised, commercially minded and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
