Commercial Solicitor (2-5 PQE) – Berkshire

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Solicitor with 2‑5 years post‑qualification experience to join our established commercial team in Berkshire. The role offers hybrid working, client exposure across private, public and third sectors, and clear pathways for progression.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on a broad range of commercial matters, including trading agreements, IT contracts, outsourcing, franchising, IP, manufacturing and data protection.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts of varying complexity and value.
• Act as an extension of clients’ in‑house legal teams, building lasting professional relationships.
• Manage your own caseload from an early stage while receiving support from senior colleagues.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with 2‑5 years PQE and solid experience in commercial contract work.
• Strong analytical ability, commercial awareness and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proactive client service approach and ability to work independently.
• Experience with public sector or local government clients is a plus, but not essential.

Required skills

• Commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
• Understanding of IT, outsourcing, franchising, intellectual property and data protection law.
