Commercial Solicitor / Legal Counsel (2-4 PQE)

About the role

An opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Solicitor / Legal Counsel to join a growing business based in Lincolnshire. The role suits a commercially‑minded solicitor with between NQ and 4 years' PQE who wants to move in‑house and develop their career within an entrepreneurial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements with customers, suppliers, technology providers and other partners.
• Work on licensing agreements, including intellectual property and technology matters.
• Support the business on IP matters, including licensing and commercial exploitation of intellectual property.
• Provide practical, commercially‑focused legal advice to stakeholders across the business.
• Assist with regulatory and compliance matters relevant to the business.
• Handle a variety of ad‑hoc legal issues in a fast‑moving environment.
• Collaborate with senior management to identify and manage legal and commercial risk.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales, ideally with around 2–4 years' PQE.
• Solid grounding in commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
• Experience or interest in IP, licensing, technology or related commercial matters.
• Commercially minded with the ability to provide practical advice.
• Enjoys working closely with non‑legal stakeholders and understanding commercial context.
• Keen to develop an in‑house career and broaden experience across a range of legal matters.
