Commercial & Tech Contracts Lawyer – Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑minded Legal Counsel to join our fast‑growing financial services business in Central London. The role offers broad exposure to commercial contracts, product development, data protection and regulatory matters within a dynamic, hybrid‑working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and advise on technology, SaaS, supplier, marketing and partnership agreements.
• Support business teams in launching new products, services and initiatives.
• Provide guidance on data protection, privacy and related customer‑facing documentation.
• Collaborate with Compliance and other stakeholders on regulatory and legal issues.
• Review and update customer terms, conditions and related legal documentation.
• Assist with implementation and optimisation of legal technology solutions.
• Advise on intellectual property, employment, property and dispute matters.
• Deliver practical legal training and guidance across the organisation.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with 2–5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong commercial contracts experience, especially in technology and SaaS.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Pragmatic, business‑focused legal advice.
• Highly organised with the capacity to manage competing priorities.
• Experience in financial services or another regulated environment is a plus.
