Commissioning Home Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Commissioning Home Manager to lead the launch of Colden Common Care Home, a brand‑new 60‑bed premium facility opening in February 2027. You will own the entire commissioning journey, from recruitment and operational mobilisation to occupancy growth, regulatory readiness and long‑term commercial success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all pre‑opening activities including recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning and operational set‑up.
• Build and develop a high‑performing team while minimising reliance on agency staff.
• Drive occupancy growth through local networking, stakeholder engagement and reputation building.
• Prepare the home for CQC registration and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Establish the service culture, standards and reputation from day one.
• Manage financial performance and commercial targets throughout the launch phase.

Required profile

• Proven experience in launching new care homes or similar health‑care facilities.
• Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Excellent understanding of commissioning, recruitment and regulatory processes.
• Ability to build relationships with local authorities, commissioners and community partners.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on long‑term operational success.
