Commodity Buyer – Building (UK)

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is based in Broughton, UK and requires BPSS and Export Control security checks. You will support Airbus divisions by implementing procurement strategies for the Building & Construction commodity.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the procurement strategy defined by Commodity Procurement Management and Multi‑Functional Teams to meet Airbus division needs.
• Manage procurement projects and tender processes across multiple divisions, including international demand for building sub‑commodities.
• Develop and maintain an efficient supply chain that delivers goods and services aligned with Airbus requirements and business objectives.
• Ensure deliverables meet contractual terms regarding cost, time and quality.
• Secure long‑term alignment of the preferred supplier base with trans‑divisional strategic needs and protect Airbus from contractual risks.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement, operations or facility management.
• Proven ability to set up procurement strategies within the Building & Construction category.
• Background in building project management is highly appreciated.
