Communications Manager

About the role

Footasylum is seeking a commercially‑driven Communications Manager to lead both internal and external communication initiatives. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will shape how the brand is perceived while keeping employees informed and aligned with the company’s vision.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an integrated communications strategy that supports short‑term trading priorities and long‑term brand positioning.
• Translate business objectives and campaign goals into clear, consistent messaging frameworks and ensure adherence to the brand tone of voice.
• Provide proactive and reactive communications guidance to senior leadership, including reputational risk management and crisis response.
• Plan and deliver corporate PR campaigns around product drops, brand activations, partnerships and key retail moments.
• Build and maintain relationships with media, press, external agencies and industry partners to maximise earned coverage.
• Collaborate with marketing, social and influencer teams to ensure cohesive execution across paid, owned and earned channels.
• Design and implement an internal communications plan that connects colleagues to company purpose, performance and strategic priorities.
• Partner with People/HR to drive culture, engagement and employer‑brand initiatives.

Required profile

• Commercially minded with a strong understanding of retail and fashion markets.
• Strategic thinker who can also operate hands‑on in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
• Proven experience advising senior leaders on communications strategy and crisis management.
• Ability to measure and analyse communication effectiveness and optimise impact.
