Community Facilities Site Manager

About the role

This full‑time position is responsible for the safety, security and operational management of an academy campus outside normal school hours. The role supports community lettings, ensuring the site is a vibrant hub for both students and local residents.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and schedule Lettings Officers to cover all bookings and maximise utilisation.
• Develop and implement marketing initiatives to increase venue bookings.
• Oversee equipment replacement and routine maintenance to keep facilities ready for use.
• Act as first point of contact for customer enquiries, handling bookings and providing high‑quality service.
• Conduct regular patrols, address safety concerns and act as the designated key holder.
• Manage operational systems including heating, cooling, lighting and security.
• Perform health‑and‑safety checks, minor repairs and basic site maintenance within competency.
• Prepare spaces for events, ensure cleanliness and supervise out‑of‑hours works.

Required profile

• Confident communicator with strong public‑facing abilities.
• Highly organised with proven experience coordinating teams.
• Solid understanding of site operations, facilities management and health‑and‑safety practices in an educational setting.
• Ability to identify maintenance issues and prioritise remedial actions.
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a school or academy environment.
• Enhanced DBS clearance will be required.
