Community IV Nurse – Home TPN Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with IV therapy experience to join our community team delivering Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) care in patients' homes across Cornwall. This autonomous, full‑time position allows you to build lasting therapeutic relationships while supporting patients to manage complex nutritional therapy safely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist nursing care for patients initiating and maintaining home TPN.
• Deliver education to patients, families and carers to promote safe self‑management.
• Conduct home visits for assessment, therapy initiation, and regular follow‑up.
• Maintain accurate digital clinical records and ensure equipment safety.
• Collaborate with dietitians, pharmacists, nutrition support teams and other professionals.
• Identify and escalate clinical concerns, adverse events and safeguarding issues.
• Participate in audit, quality improvement and clinical governance activities.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (NMC or NMBI) with at least one year post‑registration experience.
• Experience with IV therapies or vascular access.
• Full UK or Irish driving licence.
• Excellent communication, organisational skills and ability to work autonomously.
• Eligibility for an Enhanced DBS check and occupational health clearance.
