Community Rehabilitation Programme Facilitator

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Recovery Facilitator to join the Essex Community Rehabilitation Centre and deliver The Forward Trust's SHARP Programme. This part‑time role supports adults aged 18+ affected by drug and alcohol use to achieve sustainable recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver structured daily group programmes and therapeutic interventions based on the SHARP 12‑Step model.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop person‑centred SMART care plans.
• Support service users through admissions, collaborating with Recovery Workers across Essex.
• Build positive, professional relationships that encourage engagement and long‑term recovery.
• Maintain accurate records using client information management systems.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to ensure the best outcomes.
• Occasionally work evenings or weekends and travel to local services as needed.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, empathetic and committed to supporting meaningful recovery.
• Confident working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing abilities.
• Ability to engage and motivate people from diverse backgrounds.
• Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion principles.
• Experience carrying out assessments and developing SMART care plans.
