Community Staff Nurse – District Nursing Service

About the role

The District Nursing Service in Kirkcaldy is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join the community staff team. This role provides essential nursing care to patients in their homes and local settings, supporting the wider Health and Social Care Partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality community nursing care across a 24‑hour, 7‑day service.
• Work autonomously while collaborating with the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Provide care on weekends, public holidays and, when required, in other NHS Fife locations.
• Travel across the Kirkcaldy locality to meet patient needs.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with significant clinical experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and strong communication abilities.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

• Extensive clinical expertise in community nursing.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
