Community Staff Nurse – Full‑time Permanent (Glasgow)

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is with the NE District Nursing Service of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. You will provide high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care to patients in their own homes, supporting independence and delivering urgent and unscheduled interventions as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective nursing care to a community caseload in partnership with patients, families and carers.
• Assess, plan and implement evidence‑based care programmes tailored to individual needs.
• Perform complex nursing procedures and manage long‑term conditions.
• Work autonomously while supporting the District Nurse and ensuring continuity of care.
• Respond promptly to planned and unscheduled care needs, prioritising urgent cases.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with professional standards and policies.
• Contribute to team development through mentoring, audits, training and service improvement activities.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC UK PIN (Part 1 or equivalent).
• Evidence of ongoing professional development and recent NMC revalidation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with patients, carers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work independently, manage workload and make sound clinical decisions in a community setting.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem‑solving and teamwork abilities.
