About the role
This full‑time position supports pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties in a specialist SEN school. You will work in a highly structured, well‑staffed environment where progress is measured in small but meaningful steps.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils with severe and complex learning needs, including PMLD.
- Work within high staffing ratios as part of a coordinated team.
- Provide personal care and physical support as part of daily routines.
- Use sensory‑based approaches to encourage engagement and communication.
- Help pupils access learning in highly individualised ways.
Required profile
- Experience in SEN, care, support work or a similar environment.
- Confidence with personal care and physical support.
- A calm and resilient approach in challenging situations.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a wider team.
- Patience and commitment to supporting very small steps of progress.
