Complex Works Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Complex Works Team Leader to oversee damp and mould repair programmes for a housing client in Oxfordshire. The role involves coordinating rapid response repairs, ensuring health and safety compliance, and delivering a high‑quality, customer‑focused service.

Key responsibilities

• Assess requirements and coordinate rapid response to damp and mould reports.
• Schedule, deliver and manage damp and mould repairs in collaboration with client teams.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations, including CDM 2015.
• Coordinate property condition surveys and raise repairs from resident reports.
• Work with client surveyors and maintenance teams to implement preventive measures and post‑work inspections.
• Lead, motivate and monitor staff to deliver a customer‑driven quality service.
• Handle complaints in line with Housing Ombudsman guidelines.
• Ensure timely and safe completion of work allocated to team members.
• Collaborate with sub‑contractors, repair, complaints, legal and surveying teams.
• Use housing and repairs management systems to track activities and generate reports.
• Develop and maintain toolbox talks on damp and mould awareness.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing housing repairs or construction works, particularly damp and mould remediation.
• Strong knowledge of Housing Ombudsman guidelines, HHSRS legislation and CDM 2015.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team, monitor performance and ensure compliance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience using repairs management software and producing regular performance reports.
