Compliance Engineer – LEV & Occupational Hygiene

About the role

We are seeking a Compliance Engineer (also known as LEV Engineer or Occupational Hygiene Engineer) to join a specialist environmental and occupational health consultancy covering the South of England. The role involves delivering local exhaust ventilation (LEV) assessments and broader industrial hygiene monitoring for a variety of client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct LEV assessments and evaluate ventilation systems to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform industrial hygiene monitoring including air quality testing, noise and vibration assessments, electromagnetic field measurements, and hazardous substance monitoring.
• Visit client sites across the South of England and produce technical reports and environmental assessments.
• Collaborate with clients from multiple industries to improve workplace health and safety standards.
• Develop expertise in wider industrial hygiene disciplines beyond LEV.

Required profile

• Experience in an industrial hygienist, LEV engineer or occupational hygiene role.
• P601 qualification advantageous (not essential); BOHS or other industrial hygiene qualifications beneficial.
• Technical background in engineering, chemistry, environmental science or a related discipline.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the South of England; ideally based in London or surrounding areas (Coventry/Northampton also considered).
