Compliance Officer – Education Recruitment

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Compliance Officer to join its education recruitment team. You will ensure that all candidates meet the regulatory and internal standards required to work in schools, academies and nurseries across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the compliance team to verify that candidates satisfy all education‑sector compliance requirements.
• Follow established operational processes to maintain adherence to regulations and industry standards.
• Guide and support candidates throughout the recruitment journey.
• Conduct right‑to‑work, DBS, reference and employment‑history checks.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date candidate records and documentation.
• Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external inquiries.

Required profile

• Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English, grades A‑C.
• Strong relationship‑building and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
• Understanding of confidentiality, data protection and safeguarding practices.
