Conflicts Advisor

About the role

The Conflicts Advisor will join the Risk and Compliance team of a leading national law firm in Bristol. You will assess new mandates against regulatory, legal, reputational and commercial standards, ensuring the firm can safely accept new work.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for conflict queries from legal teams.
• Review conflict reports and identify actual or potential legal or commercial conflicts.
• Advise on and establish information barriers where required.
• Liaise with partners and lawyers to resolve issues arising from changes in matter scope.
• Support the development of internal procedures and deliver training on conflict management.
• Maintain key systems such as Intapp and manage insider lists.
• Assist the Manager with wider team initiatives and process improvements.

Required profile

• At least three years of experience in a risk and compliance function, preferably focused on conflicts of interest.
• Strong analytical thinking and excellent attention to detail.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with senior lawyers.
• Sound understanding of regulatory rules governing conflicts in the legal sector.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Intapp conflict management system.
