Conflicts Advisor – Risk & Compliance (London)

About the role

Join a leading international law firm as a Conflicts Advisor within its Risk & Compliance team in London. You will act as the senior point of contact for conflicts and new business intake, providing commercially‑focused guidance while balancing regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Conflicts Manager to oversee the firm’s conflicts function and new business intake.
• Review and analyse complex conflicts of interest arising from client openings, lateral hires, transactions and strategic initiatives.
• Provide expert advice to partners, senior lawyers and business services on conflicts, confidentiality and professional responsibility.
• Support the resolution of high‑risk and sensitive conflicts, proposing practical solutions that meet both regulatory and commercial goals.
• Lead discussions with partners and stakeholders to obtain approvals for complex conflict resolutions.
• Serve as an escalation point and mentor for Conflicts Analysts and junior team members, delivering technical guidance and training.

Required profile

• Previous experience in conflicts, business intake, new business, or risk & compliance within a law firm.
• Strong understanding of conflicts of interest principles and professional conduct requirements.
• Ability to communicate complex legal risk in a clear, commercially‑oriented manner.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Intapp conflict management software.
