Construction Architect – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term (UK Nationwide)

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Architect to lead design and delivery across a national portfolio of new builds, refurbishments and operational upgrades. The role spans concept to handover, providing technical leadership and ensuring safe, compliant, and value‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architectural design through all RIBA stages, adhering to UK regulations and internal standards.
• Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies and option appraisals.
• Produce high‑quality drawings, specifications and reports.
• Provide technical assurance during planning, procurement and delivery phases.
• Coordinate design with project managers, engineers, BIM teams and contractors.
• Drive value engineering, buildability and whole‑life performance.
• Manage planning applications and stakeholder engagement, including local authorities.

Required profile

• Strong architectural design capability across complex projects and all RIBA stages.
• Deep knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning policy and CDM 2015.
• Proven experience working in live or operational environments with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem‑solving skills.
