Construction Management Team Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Management Team Lead to oversee the viability and success of our construction loan portfolio within Wholesale Lending Services. You will act as the primary liaison between lenders, borrowers, design professionals and third‑party consultants, ensuring projects stay compliant with loan terms and risk policies.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and review construction documents to assess project feasibility and alignment with loan terms.
• Conduct risk management reviews for high‑value projects across the UK and EU, recommending mitigation strategies.
• Engage regularly with clients and stakeholders to support effective project delivery and clear communication.
• Resolve escalated construction‑related issues using advanced conflict‑management techniques.
• Perform quality‑control checks to ensure adherence to operational policies and industry standards.
• Monitor multiple projects from initiation through closeout, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
• Document findings, decisions and follow‑ups promptly to support transparent issue tracking.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in construction management and loan portfolio oversight.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess construction documents and risk factors.
• Proven conflict‑resolution and stakeholder‑engagement capabilities.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.
• Resilient and adaptable in fast‑changing environments.
