Construction Manager – Client Side

About the role

We are partnering with a leading privately‑owned commercial property investment and management group to recruit a Construction Manager who will drive the white‑boxing refurbishment programme across a diverse portfolio of commercial and retail assets. The role is primarily remote, with one day per week based in Birmingham, and reports to the Head of Estates.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of white‑box fit‑out projects across multiple sites, ensuring a market‑ready standard.
• Manage relationships with contractors and external consultants to achieve high‑quality outcomes.
• Standardise internal specifications and fit‑out processes across the estate.
• Control costs, maintain compliance, and optimise project efficiency.
• Collaborate with asset managers on timelines, budgets, and strategic priorities.
• Contribute to value enhancement and occupier readiness of vacant or transitional units.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial or retail property fit‑out, refurbishment or construction/project management.
• Strong technical understanding of white‑boxing and asset improvement strategies.
• Ability to manage multiple live sites and contractor teams.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
