Construction Planner

About the role

Cathcart Technology is seeking an experienced Construction Planner to join its well‑established team in Glasgow. Working in a hybrid model with regular on‑site presence, you will support a portfolio of fast‑paced fit‑out and refurbishment projects ranging from £350k to over £10m.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain logic‑linked programmes from tender through to project completion.
• Collaborate with project managers, site teams, commercial teams and subcontractors to gather accurate data.
• Monitor site progress, update schedules, and produce short‑term look‑ahead plans.
• Identify risks, delays and opportunities, analysing critical‑path impacts.
• Ensure programmes reflect real‑world delivery and align with cost and risk considerations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Planner within the construction sector, especially fit‑out/refurbishment projects.
• Confident and structured, comfortable with a strong on‑site presence.
• Valid UK driver’s licence and access to a car.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in Asta Powerproject (v13).
• Experience with Primavera P6 (desirable).
• Good understanding of construction sequencing, JCT and NEC contracts.
