Contracts Manager & Roofing Estimator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager & Estimator to join our specialist external building‑fabric access and maintenance contractor. You will own projects from the initial roof survey and condition assessment through estimating, client management, delivery and final handover across MOD, commercial and hospitality sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and prepare competitive quotations for roofing repairs, leak investigations and refurbishment projects.
• Manage subcontractors and oversee project performance on site.
• Identify opportunities for additional works and long‑term maintenance solutions.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure projects meet quality, safety and profitability standards.
• Visit client sites across the South East while being based in our Bedford office.

Required profile

• Commercially aware construction professional with experience in roofing, maintenance, refurbishment or building‑fabric projects.
• Strong estimating and surveying skills.
• Excellent customer relationship management abilities.
• Confidence to manage multiple projects simultaneously while upholding high standards.
