Controls Sales Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Controls Sales Engineer to support a leading generator solutions provider. You will research and develop opportunities within the control panels, PLC, and fuel control systems market, covering BMS, PMS, SCADA and automation process controls.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify new potential markets.
• Schedule and carry out customer visits, promote the company and generate interest in our services.
• Prepare quotations for new and existing business opportunities.
• Provide weekly call‑visit reports and monthly quotation forecasts.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to improve service offerings across market sectors.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience across the full sales lifecycle.
• Proven track record of winning new business and developing key accounts in the Power Generation market, preferably with diesel generators.
• Self‑motivated with strong communication skills when meeting customers face‑to‑face.
• Willingness to travel UK‑wide and attend the Colchester branch once a month.
• Full UK driving licence.

What we offer

• Salary £40,000‑£50,000 per year plus OTE/bonus (DOE).
• Full‑time permanent contract (40 hours per week).
