Conveyancing Assistant/Paralegal – £32k-£36k + Bonus

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant or Paralegal to join a well‑established firm in Basildon. The role covers the full conveyancing cycle, from initial client enquiry through to post‑completion administration.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all types of conveyancing matters, including freehold, leasehold, new build and shared ownership transactions.
• Handle re‑mortgages, transfers of equity and Help to Buy schemes.
• Prepare and submit Land Registry applications and other statutory documents.
• Liaise with clients, solicitors, lenders and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction progress.
• Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a conveyancing fee earner or assistant.
• Strong understanding of the conveyancing process and relevant legislation.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality, client‑focused service.
