Conveyancing Paralegal – Residential Property

About the role

Join a friendly, ambitious family‑run law firm as a Conveyancing Paralegal in Chelmsford. You will support the Residential Property team, ensuring property transactions move smoothly from instruction to completion while delivering a first‑class client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for clients, developers, mortgage brokers and other parties.
• Process new client onboarding, including identity verification and AML checks.
• Review proof‑of‑funds and source‑of‑funds documentation.
• Progress new instructions and support new‑build conveyancing matters.
• Work within InfoTrack (training provided) to manage case files.
• Order and review Local Authority, Chancel and other property searches.
• Prepare completion statements and manage LISA/Help to Buy ISA withdrawals.
• Utilise the NHBC warranty portal where required.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ experience in residential conveyancing.
• Highly organised, proactive and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with clients, fee earners and third parties.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
