About the role

Join Mosswood Care Home as a Cook and play a vital part in delivering nutritious, high‑quality meals to residents living with dementia or physical disabilities. You will work in a supportive environment that values consistency, teamwork, and the wellbeing of both residents and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
• Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and presentation.
• Support menu planning using fresh ingredients to ensure a varied and balanced diet.
• Assist in keeping the kitchen organised, clean, and running efficiently.
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate meal times and special dietary requirements.

Required profile

• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Previous experience in a kitchen or food‑preparation role.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, reliable attitude with good communication and organisational skills.

What we offer

• £13.92 per hour.
• Contracted 16 or 32 hours per week.
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform, and 5.6 weeks annual leave (full‑time basis).
