Cook – Residential Care Home (Lincoln)

About the role

Prime Life is looking for a dedicated Cook to join the team at Cherry Tree Lodge, a residential care home in the heart of Lincoln. You will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals and snacks that meet the specific dietary needs of 18 residents living with learning disabilities and mental health conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare meals, snacks and beverages in line with residents' dietary requirements.
• Conduct quality checks on prepared food and ensure proper storage.
• Plan menus that reflect residents' preferences and nutritional needs.
• Assist with food service to provide a dignified dining experience.
• Maintain accurate stock records and order supplies as needed.
• Uphold kitchen hygiene standards and support deep‑cleaning tasks.

Required profile

• Patient, understanding and respectful attitude towards residents.
• Genuine caring nature with a desire to make a positive difference.
• Experience as a cook, preferably in a care or hospitality setting.
• Willingness to obtain a fully funded DBS check.

• Food hygiene knowledge.
