Corporate & Commercial Associate (3-6 yrs PQE) – Healthcare Focus

About the role

This position offers a Corporate & Commercial Associate or Senior Associate role within a well‑established legal team in Cardiff. You will work closely with the firm’s specialist healthcare practice, advising a range of healthcare providers as well as SMEs across South and West Wales.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on corporate acquisitions, disposals, business sales and purchases.
• Handle company restructures, shareholder and partnership arrangements, and corporate governance matters.
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements.
• Provide general commercial advisory services, supporting clients through growth, investment and succession planning.
• Deliver specialist legal advice to dental practices, pharmacies, GP practices and other healthcare providers.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years post‑qualification experience with strong corporate and commercial expertise.
• Commercially minded, client‑focused approach with excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to manage matters autonomously and develop a specialist healthcare practice.
• Understanding of owner‑managed businesses and SMEs, with enthusiasm for business development.
• Ambition to contribute to the growth of the department; prior healthcare experience is advantageous but not essential.
