Corporate & Commercial Solicitor – Brighton & Hove

About the role

We are seeking a Corporate & Commercial Solicitor to join our dynamic team in Brighton & Hove. This permanent position offers the chance to work with a diverse client base ranging from SMEs to large corporations, providing high‑quality legal advice across a variety of commercial matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on corporate and commercial matters including M&A, company formations, shareholders’ agreements and joint ventures.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts such as supply, service agreements and terms & conditions.
• Provide strategic guidance on corporate governance, compliance and risk management.
• Deliver non‑contentious employment law advice, including TUPE‑related issues.
• Support sales of SPVs where the primary asset is real estate.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Mentor and supervise junior solicitors and paralegals as required.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with at least 5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience advising both SMEs and large corporations on commercial transactions.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage a varied workload.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
