Corporate Counsel – EMEA Commercial Legal Support

About the role

Genesys is looking for a motivated Corporate Counsel to join its fast‑growing Legal team. You will provide commercial legal support to Sales and Channel organisations across EMEA, helping the business grow while managing risk in a dynamic AI‑powered technology environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate cloud services, SaaS, channel partner, software licence, support and professional services agreements.
• Provide practical commercial legal advice to internal stakeholders across EMEA, ensuring alignment with company processes and risk management.
• Collaborate with Data Privacy, Security and Product Counsel on contractual and regulatory matters, including AI product compliance.
• Support RFP responses from a legal perspective.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting cloud‑based software solutions and share insights.
• Maintain and contribute to Genesys’ templates, playbooks and guidance documents.

Required profile

• Law degree from an accredited UK or EU law school.
• Licensed to practice law in England & Wales or an EU jurisdiction, with experience negotiating contracts governed by English law.
• 2–3 years post‑qualification experience in TMT law (or equivalent in‑house experience) with a focus on SaaS agreements.
• Strong contract drafting, negotiation and stakeholder communication skills.
• Substantive knowledge of intellectual property law as it applies to cloud services.
• Ability to deliver practical, business‑oriented legal solutions with sound judgment.
• Proven capability to manage complex workloads, prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment with high standards for integrity, execution and collaboration.
