Corporate Legal Counsel – M&A & Transactions

About the role

The Corporate Legal Counsel joins Sony Pictures Entertainment’s legal team in London, focusing on high‑value transactional work across the entertainment portfolio. You will advise senior executives on M&A, joint ventures, investments and other corporate initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support and execute corporate transactions, partnering with business units on acquisitions, disposals, investments and joint ventures.
• Draft, negotiate and review a wide range of corporate agreements, including M&A contracts and joint‑venture documents.
• Lead and coordinate legal due‑diligence processes and ensure compliance with corporate law requirements.
• Provide ongoing corporate, commercial and regulatory advice to senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
• Assist the Corporate Legal team with corporate maintenance, compliance projects and other advisory matters.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with at least 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven ability to work independently and deliver practical legal advice in a fast‑moving environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building relationships with executives and stakeholders.
• Highly organised, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities.
