Corporate Relationship Manager

About the role

Metro Bank is looking for a Corporate Relationship Manager to manage and grow relationships with corporate customers in Bristol. You will work closely with the Corporate Banking team to meet financial and risk objectives while delivering a high‑quality banking experience.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with corporate customers, providing ongoing product and service support.
• Assist Corporate Banking Directors and Managers in managing a complex portfolio of clients.
• Evaluate complex lending opportunities and conduct financial metric testing.
• Oversee annual renewals, covenant compliance, and post‑approval monitoring.
• Gather, analyse, and interpret financial statements, management accounts and profit & loss data.
• Maintain influential relationships with market professionals and represent the Corporate Banking brand.
• Collaborate with Credit, Lending, Financial Crime Risk, and regional teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Act with integrity, champion Metro Bank’s values, and raise risk concerns when necessary.

Required profile

• Strong experience in corporate banking, particularly with SME and mid‑corporate clients.
• Proven track record in credit underwriting and commercial lending from origination to completion.
• Excellent financial analysis and report‑writing abilities.
• High‑level customer service skills with a talent for negotiation and influencing.
• Knowledge of structured finance and related products.
