About the role

The Corporate Social Responsibility Manager will lead the development and delivery of social impact and community‑engagement initiatives for a leading science and research organisation in Cambridge. This senior‑level position combines strategic leadership with hands‑on execution, ensuring that local residents benefit directly from the organisation’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a practical social impact and employability strategy aligned with organisational goals.
• Build and nurture partnerships with local authorities, not‑for‑profit organisations and community groups.
• Manage and deliver programmes that improve employability, access to opportunity and community cohesion.
• Collaborate with planning, development and communications teams to meet complex funding requirements.
• Represent the campus at council meetings, stakeholder events and public forums.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering community impact or socio‑economic initiatives in multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Strong relationship‑building skills and ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Confidence to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
• Background in development, local authority, consultancy or the social impact sector.
