Corporate Solicitor – Hospitality & Leisure Sector

About the role

We are seeking a confident corporate solicitor to join our Basingstoke team, focusing on the hospitality and leisure sector. The role offers hybrid working (2‑3 days in the office) and the chance to manage a variety of corporate transactions with autonomy and no business‑development pressure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage M&A transactions, joint ventures and restructurings for hospitality and leisure clients.
• Draft and negotiate shareholder agreements, commercial contracts and governance documents.
• Provide strategic legal advice on corporate matters and risk mitigation.
• Act as the primary point of contact for junior solicitors, offering guidance and oversight.
• Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and reliable service delivery.
• Contribute to internal process improvement and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience in corporate law, preferably with hospitality or leisure exposure.
• Proven ability to handle matters independently from start to finish.
• Strong commercial awareness and client‑focused mindset.
• Collaborative attitude with willingness to mentor junior team members.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication abilities.
