Corporate Tax Manager

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing independent accountancy firm based in Cambridge, is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to lead a portfolio of corporate tax clients. The position is highly client‑facing and advisory‑focused, providing direct exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to shape the firm’s future growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients, overseeing compliance and advisory work.
• Review corporation tax returns and related advisory deliverables for accuracy and commercial relevance.
• Build and nurture long‑term client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Deliver commercially focused tax advice that aligns with client business objectives.
• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering their technical development.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues across tax, accounting and advisory services.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to expand client relationships and service lines.

Required profile

• CTA, ACA, ACCA, ATT or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong corporate tax experience gained within an accountancy practice.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and review technical work.
• Commercial mindset with a genuine interest in advisory services.
• Ambition to progress to greater responsibility and leadership.
