Corporate Tax Manager – Professional Services

About the role

We are seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join the tax department of a leading professional services firm in Brighton. You will provide tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage business acquisitions and sales, including SPA documentation and tax covenants.
• Lead mergers, demergers, and reorganisations.
• Oversee share buy‑backs, purchase of own shares, and multiple completion contracts.
• Execute share‑for‑share exchanges.
• Advise on tax‑advantaged share schemes such as EMI options.
• Support venture capital schemes including EIS and SEIS.
• Handle R&D and Creative Industries tax relief claims, including video‑games relief.
• Apply capital allowances and manage intangible assets.
• Develop tax‑efficient profit extraction strategies.

Required profile

• Strong background in corporate tax with excellent technical knowledge.
• Proven client‑facing experience within a professional services environment.
• Leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• ATT or CTA qualification (or equivalent accounting qualification).
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude and ability to contribute to business development.
