Corporate Tax Specialist

About the role

This position supports the Group Tax Manager of a leading investment platform, providing a blend of compliance, reporting and tax project work. It offers a chance to develop a broad commercial skill set while working on high‑impact tax initiatives across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare half‑year and full‑year corporate tax reports, including tax provisions for statutory accounts and group reporting.
• Assist with quarterly corporation tax forecasts and ensure HMRC payments and filing deadlines are met accurately.
• Handle HMRC‑related matters across the group, including correspondence and reporting requirements.
• Monitor changes to UK tax legislation and assess their impact on the organisation.
• Support tax‑focused process‑improvement projects, regulatory change initiatives and finance transformation activities.
• Partner with finance teams and senior stakeholders to provide tax input for various business areas.

Required profile

• Solid experience in corporate tax, preferably within financial services or a complex corporate environment.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with finance and senior business partners.
• Motivation to expand commercial exposure and take on broader responsibilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of UK corporation tax compliance and reporting.
• Familiarity with HMRC filing processes and deadlines.
• Understanding of tax legislation monitoring and implementation.
