Counter Manager – Premium Fragrance Retail

About the role

We are seeking a Counter Manager to lead a flagship premium fragrance counter in a central London department store. This role combines commercial responsibility, client storytelling, and team development in a high‑energy retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the counter space, delivering strong commercial results and an exceptional client experience.
• Lead the team from the shop floor, setting the tone for service, energy, and engagement.
• Coach and develop staff through regular feedback and hands‑on leadership.
• Drive performance against KPIs, focusing on conversion and sales targets.
• Build lasting client relationships to encourage loyalty.
• Maintain visual standards, stock flow, tester quality, and daily readiness.
• Support events, product launches, and client engagement activities.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in beauty, fragrance, or luxury retail.
• Strong commercial awareness with a track record of delivering results.
• Confident, hands‑on leader who sets the pace on the shop floor.
• Passion for client experience and storytelling.
• People‑first coaching approach.
• Organised, resilient and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
