Court of Protection Solicitor – Brighton (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Court of Protection Solicitor to join a Legal 500‑ranked law firm in Brighton. The role offers hybrid working and the chance to shape a growing specialist practice that supports vulnerable and disabled individuals, families, and carers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied and complex caseload of Court of Protection matters.
• Handle Property & Affairs applications and Health & Welfare applications.
• Prepare and supervise deputyship applications and ongoing deputyship files.
• Advise families, carers, and professional deputies on legal matters.
• Collaborate closely with case managers, counsel, social workers, medical professionals and multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor with proven Court of Protection experience.
• Strong understanding of Property & Affairs and/or Health & Welfare matters.
• Excellent judgement with a sensitive, client‑focused approach.
• Ability to manage complex matters accurately and empathetically.
• Strong communication and collaborative working skills.
• Commitment to supporting vulnerable clients and their families.
