Cover Supervisor – Daily Supply in Tower Hamlets Schools

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to provide daily supply cover in secondary schools across Tower Hamlets during September 2026. You will step into classrooms when teachers are absent, ensuring lessons continue smoothly and pupils stay on task.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise classes for the full school day (approximately 8:15 am – 4:15 pm).
• Deliver pre‑planned tasks and maintain a productive learning environment.
• Support teachers by managing classroom behaviour and assisting with any ad‑hoc duties.
• Report any issues or student concerns to the permanent teaching staff.

Required profile

• Experience working with 11‑18‑year‑olds (e.g., youth work, coaching, or similar).
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two professional references covering the past two years.
• Positive, confident and professional attitude towards young people.

Required skills

• Ability to follow lesson plans and deliver tasks independently.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
