Cover Supervisor – Full‑time Temporary (Secondary)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to support secondary‑age students across a range of subjects in schools located in Ealing, London. This full‑time, temporary position runs until the end of the academic year and offers day‑to‑day classroom cover.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lesson plans and maintain classroom order in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Provide targeted support to students to ensure continuity of learning.
• Monitor student progress and report any concerns to school staff.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and maintain a safe learning environment.

Required profile

• Experience working with children and young people.
• A degree or equivalent qualification.
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training completed within the last year.
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two professional references covering the last two years.

Required skills

• Strong classroom management abilities.
• Effective communication with students and staff.
• Ability to adapt lesson material quickly.
