About the role
Provide cover for absent teachers in secondary schools across Southend and surrounding areas. Immediate start with flexible full‑time or part‑time options, available as permanent or contract placements.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver lesson plans and maintain continuity for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 classes.
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
- Support students preparing for GCSE examinations.
- Adapt quickly to different school settings and curricula.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar classroom‑based role.
- Strong behaviour and classroom management abilities.
- Experience supporting KS3 and KS4 students.
- Positive, proactive and adaptable approach.
