Cover Supervisor – Secondary School (Part‑time, Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming secondary school in North West London. You will ensure continuity of learning during short‑term teacher absences, delivering pre‑prepared lessons and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise whole‑class lessons during teacher absence, using pre‑prepared materials.
• Maintain a calm, inclusive and purposeful learning environment.
• Promote positive behaviour and follow the school’s behaviour policy.
• Record attendance and report any concerns to senior staff.
• Collaborate with teachers, pastoral teams and senior leaders to ensure continuity of learning.
• Uphold safeguarding standards and professional practice.

Required profile

• Previous experience working in a secondary school.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
• Confident communication and presence.
• Organised, reliable, adaptable and proactive.

Required skills

• Ability to deliver pre‑prepared lesson content across a range of subjects.
• Competence in using school IT systems for attendance and reporting.

What we offer

• Daily rate of £110‑£140, dependent on experience.
