Credit Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Credit Controller to join a growing finance team in Southampton. The role involves managing credit control processes, maintaining accurate records and supporting the wider Accounting & Finance department.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and chase outstanding payments to ensure timely collection.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and customer interactions.
• Prepare detailed reports on account statuses and outstanding debts.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and stakeholders.
• Assist in developing and implementing credit policies and procedures.
• Support ad‑hoc finance tasks as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in credit control or a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of financial systems and accounting principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
